Tough on Evil, Tough on the Facilitation of Evil

I found myself thinking to myself today. “I don’t think David Cameron is actually evil.”
 
The I qualified this thought.  “He does, however, faciliate some* evil*.”
 
Then I thought about Tony Blair and how some people might view him in much the same way.

The common denominator is that they both think they are doing good. Otherwise they wouldn't be where they are now. Of course, it may be that Cameron is still paying off the people who got him there...

A senior-civil-servant friend working in London tells me that pretty much all of the MPs she's worked with, of all parties, have firmly believed they were doing the right thing.

They just have very different ideas about "right".
