Five Things on Friday

1) MLW has just received an email telling us that there will be some building work near our holiday accomodation at CentreParcs. I can see this one growing arms and legs.

2) I have some 3D printed games pieces for Tak. 10 samples printed by a pal. I also have two board designs - one for an 8 by 8 board to go on some mounting board, one for a 5 by 5 board to transfer on to some white cloth for a travel set. I'm pleased with the board designs. One is brown and yellowy-cream with a border of sunflowers. The other is black and white in a wrought iron pattern. On Saturday I'm off to a bead shop to see if I can find 100 brown M&Ms suitable cuboid beads. If successful I should have a functioning Tak set by Sunday.

3) Sunday is the last formal training session at rugby for this season. We have a fun day next week and then a break until the end of the summer. I have enjoyed rugby but I'll be pleased to have a bit of a break.

4) It's been a gloriously sunny week in Edinburgh. I am quite brown. I wonder if we should go to the seaside on Saturday.

5) I'm off to the pub tonight - leaving drinks for one of the software engineers. I like the pub we're going to so I'm looking forward to some beer and some chat.

What will you do in place of rugby?

Probably not a lot. Certainly nothing structured. Touch rugby on Thursday continues until the summer holidays. P3 rugby coaching is very enjoyable but occupies a lot of space on a Sunday because it's at lunch time. So I think we'll have a few months where we can go on day trips on Sunday.

Gotcha. Make sure you don't lose exercise momentum.

It is likely that I will do more exercise on a Sunday as the exercise value of *coaching* rugby is not as high as a long walk or a bike ride.
