This week has involved several of my household roaming the house at night. The Captain woke up with "a sore leg" at about half one on Tuesday morning, fetched his mum for some care and attention, decided he couldn't go back to sleep so had some hot chocolate and finally fell asleep again, with his mum in his bed, at 3.30. He awoke to start the day at 5.15. Wednesday morning saw him awake at 4.30. He was predicably grouchy on Wednesday evening. He declined to say what woke him up on Wednesday. Sometimes he asks if it's okay not to tell us something, which we usually respect, and then he keeps it to himself.

This week at work has seen a record number of Non Disclosure Agreements come across my desk. This can only be a good thing but how much of a good thing is difficult to judge. Currently feelling a bit more energised about work.

A new personal best at the gym on Thursday. I deadlifted 80kgs. (Six reps). The lifting was fine but noticiable. I was definately feeling it during the rest of Thursday and in to Friday but not at all painful. It felt like I was lifting something heavy compared to say 60kgs which was easy. I felt a little light headed because of the changes in blood pressure. You could have cut glass with my nipples too - I suspect also because of the changes in blood pressure.

This week I have mostly been playing Hey, That's My Fish, a deceptively simple board game that is best described as Penguin Chess. It's a nice mix of simple rules which lead to a deeper gameplay. Others in the lunch time board game group were playing Masquerade which seems like a cross between Love Letter and poker and also bonkers.

I'm looking forward to the weekend. It starts with a pint with Hano after work on Friday. If that doesn't end up involving a fish supper on the way home I have badly misjudged myself. MLW, the Captain and I have a drama club brunch in lieu of an after show party for the One Act Play Festival on Saturday morning and then rugby. Big games this weekend where I need the less favoured team to win. I don't see Scotland beating Ireland, or France beating England or Italy beating Wales but it that all happens then Scotland would go in to the final week needing to beat Italy to be in with a good shout of winning the Six Nations. In other rugby news the son of the friend of my wife who plays rugby is starting for Scotland on Saturday. Well done him. My expectation is that all of the Captain's sporting ventures will be rain affected this weekend. I'm certainly not taking him to football in the pouring rain so he can play soccer in an inch of water.

I have been watching detective things on television. I sort of lost what was going on with Strike but enjoyed it nevertheless. Death in Paradise is a very silly programme and I think the writers might have given up. Shetland I'm following more closely. I don't want to live in Shetland or even particularly to visit. Which is strange because I love Orkney. However, I do like Scotland's Scandinoir detectoring.

I am entertained that your first two points are both about NDAs.
