1) Walked in to the office today and was only slightly slowed down by the snow. Started off on my usual route, decided to cut down to Lothian Road earlier than I usually would because I (correctly) thought it would be clearer. However, I think I managed to do 2.5 sides of a square. Still, the walk took 50 minutes instead of the usual 35. Not bad. Buses are back on so I'll be able to get home easily after a trip to Waitrose. Sadly, MLW's concert this weekend is a casuality of the snow.
2) Board games this week: Codenames. Codenames: Duet on Wednesday. Codenames today. I have ordered some games, Colouretto, Port Royal and Ultra Tiny Epic Kingdoms. I've also bought the Kindle edition of a book of essays on board game design. I have the book and the box of game design equipment put aside for my sister. I expect this weekend will see plenty of board game action.
3) Also on the agenda for this weekend is sledging on the Captain's new sledges.
4) I finished watching Season Two of the Good Place. Funnily enough the Trolley Problem showed up there (done really well) and also in an awful programme the Captain was watching. The programme is about a hot house school for gifted children but none of the children are actually any good at anything. We're *told* they are super genius kids but they seem both very averagely smart and sociable. Their first introduction to the Trolley Problem got a) the problem wrong and b) was overly complicated. The Captain liked the Good Place.
5) There is much drama drama going on. Conflicting views on what to do about our next set of shows which mostly flow from a delightful abundance of talent and opportunity and a concern that we will miss out on *all* of the good things.
