Can anyone recommend any good resources on Autism as it relates to a two year old child?
This is not Captain related. I am asking for a friend.

Date: 2012-10-26 12:08 pm (UTC)I know quite a bit about ADHD, but not a lot on autism. However this site was good for ADHD so I'm assuming that it'll be as good for autism.

I'd recommend the parents find a support group. I think it would be incredibly reassuring to know that they're not the only ones and that it's not their fault. Other parents would be able to relate their stories and offer some advice. In the mean time, I found this website which is UK based (so much US stuff appears when I search for anything!)

And finally, I don't know exactly what kind if resources you're looking for, but I know that Simon Baron-Cohen has published several books on autism. I suspect they're pretty readable, but he is an academic and I haven't read his books so I don't know how useful they are practically.
