Friday Fives - Spring
Apr. 20th, 2018 02:51 pm1. Do you suffer from Spring Fever?
I have never suffered from Spring Fever.
In fact I've never suffered from any named Fevers. Not Hay Fever, Ross River Fever, Q Fever, Valley Fever or Saturday Night Fever
2. Have you ever been twitterpated (infatuated or obsessed. In a state of nervous excitement)?
I rarely get in to a state of nervous excitement. I tend to be fairly cool and collected under pressure - or I have a complete nervous breakdown.
3. What does Spring taste like to you?
Like a fine Cuban cigar, hand rolled on the thighs of virgins and moisted shut with Claudia Schiffer's pussy juice.
Or warm tarmac.
4. When was the last time you visited an ice cream truck?
Last summer at the Brough of Birsay, which is an Iron Age site on Orkney on a small island which is accessible at low tide by a causeway. Seals, crabs, fish, puffins, Viking remains and the HMS Hampshire monument can all be seen. There is an ice cream van there that does excellent bacon and black pudding rolls. I recommend the place and the van heartily.
5. Do you know what song your ice cream truck plays?
I do not. I don't know that I actually have a local ice cream truck (or van). The nearest one is at the Big Park at the east end of the Meadows but that's a static van so I don't know if it has a tune.
I know more than I care to about Edinburgh City Counci's rules on ice cream van tunes and ice cream vans generally re noise pollution and conservation and heritage zones because of the food van that was parked outside my flat for a year.
