I suppose that a left wing leader who takes his hands off the wheel when he's playing chicken is good if the other side swerves. I just wish he could have demonstrated his backbone sufficiently before this issue that the entire British economy wasn't resting on the Right's certainty that they wouldn't have to swerve because they never had before.
