Friday Five for Februay the 16th
Feb. 16th, 2018 05:10 pmThis weeks Friday Five
1) I have spent almost the entire day today filing emails. Mostly I have been filing them as a way of identifying things I have to do and moving them to my To Do List App. Thats's the important thing. The new to do list app has the important feature that I can email jobs to it from my email account by fowarding the email. That I think is perhaps the missing link for me and managing my to do list which is always a challenge and always a great challenge if I am depressed.
2) This week's board games have been good. I took in Deep Sea Adventure, which is a lovely, simple, small push your luck game where a group of divers share an oxygen supply but are competing to bring back treasure to a submarine. It can get viscous. We also played a few rounds of Love Letter and today we tried out a game called Colourist, which is a suite building game which was quite sweet.
I think from the games I've played at lunch time I would buy Codenames, Port Royal, Colourist and Tiny Epic Kingdoms.
3) There was a family visit over half-term from my aunt and her partner. I saw a fair bit of them, including a big family dinner at dad's on Tuesday. We drank port. It was nice. Quinta da Novel. If you ever find yourself buying me a bottle of port remember that name. Dad cooked a gammon, I carved the gammon. I don't know why but dad always gets me to carve his roast dinners. Very nice dinner, good chat. Played very sily word association and memory game after which was fun. Rolled home at midnight. BB was up for the evening. The Captain was very sad to see her go home.
4) A quite weekend I think as MLW is off to Poland on business next week and I'm Captain wrangling.
5) After not knowing there was a secret passage behind the drama group's store room suddenly it is hot news. Random request for a building contractor to walk through our store to the secret corridor to see if he can access some pipes in the corridor. I might ask him as a quid pro quo to replace the light bulbs.
