Graceland is one of my favourite albums too. When it came out in '86 I think, my parents both rushed to be the first to buy it for the other. I'm a little fuzzy at who won that race. Anyway, we listened to it in the car over and over again. On the way to piano lessons, the annual trip to London to see grandparents . . . It was the one album my brother and I never tired of unlike the Barbra Streisand one.
Funny story, for years I couldn't listen to Barbra Streisand without feeling really nauseated. I couldn't figure it out. Then I finally twigged, that was what my Mum mostly listened to on the way to piano lessons. The road between Dunbar and North Berwick is not particularly pleasant if you suffer from car sickness. That combined with being so bored of Ms. Streisand that I'd read instead of listening meant I almost always got car sick when she was on. That conditioning remained for years. Now I can just about listen to her without feeling sick. Are you bored yet?
