I used to use hard contacts. Partly because I wanted contacts when I was 18 because I was dashing and good looking and not wearing glasses most days made me look better but meant I could also wear glasses on occassion for those senstive, philosophical "he's so clever it's sexy" times but mainly because my optician thought they would slow down the rate of decay of one of my eye problems. She appears to have been correct.
When I was in my late 20's I used for a while montly disposables which worked fine but I struggled with them in the office spreadsheet bashing so gave up on them.
I've never tried dailies. I might give them a go when the Captain is older. As I'm getting up in the night I need to have my glasses handy any way so I get out of the habit of having contacts in play too.
