There will be a dozen things coming across her desk every day that give her grief.
The GRC stuff is probably a long way from the hardest to deal with. (i think it's got some interesting interactions with the Greens and with some factional fights in the SNP - but what doesn't).
I remember sitting next to her one day whilst she was trying to explain to a constituent of hers that she could not solve their problem. She was sympathetic to it but it was not within her power to solve. I thought that's probably emotionally harder than picking a policy option, even one that generates a lot of noise and heat like the GRR.
