Five things on a Friday makes a Friday Five, or so I'm told

1) My brother broke his nose a while ago and has had to have it reset. He's convalescing at my dad's house for a week or so. Hopefully I'll get to see him. He's a bit sore and he's finding it difficult to speak at the moment so he's not mad keen on visitors. He's brought his dog with him - the Captain is delighted.

2) I've been struggling with my grip at weight lifting a bit. I've pretty firmly establish 100 kgs as my standard weight and I've been doing 4 or 5 sets of 6 reps at that weight. I find that my grip gives out before the actual weight lifting muscles.

3) We had work related drinks this week which I think is a first and part of my colleague C's long term economic plan to make work a more fun and socially engaging place to be. My role in this is to sign the cheques and be an enthusiastic part of the board games club.

4) I'm Front of House manager for the drama group's production of MacBeth. This is the worst job as you have to arrive early and hang around late and you don't get to see the actual show. Hey ho, someone has to do it.

5) This weekend is the last weekend ot the P3 rugby season. I've enjoyed it but I'm looking foward to a break.

As a bonus Babel Fish got mentioned in a work presentation today, of all days.

Would you rather [entertainment version]...

1. Download music // buy a CD

I tend to stream music using Spotify. Not sure if this counts as downloading. I've generally been a bit averse to downloading music as I've always doubted my ability to manage the persistency of this. Ironic really give that an ex-girlfriend once destroyed my entire CD collection with a hammer.

2. Use MP3 player // Use CD Player

CD Player - I've never used and MP3 player.

3. Watch a movie at a theater // Rent a video

Again, I stream video. On the very rare occassion that I go to the cinema, I go to the cinema but we're talking about once a year.

4. Amusement park for the day // Picnic in a park for a day

Very much depends on the mood I'm in and who I'm going with. Amusement parks with my daughter are fun. Less so with my son because he's 8.

5. Read a magazine // Dollage with a magazine

I have no idea what dollage is - I hope it's something filthy so I can enjoy finding out.
