On Friday Fives for 25th May
May. 25th, 2018 04:58 pmFive things on a Friday makes a Friday Five, or so I'm told
1) My brother broke his nose a while ago and has had to have it reset. He's convalescing at my dad's house for a week or so. Hopefully I'll get to see him. He's a bit sore and he's finding it difficult to speak at the moment so he's not mad keen on visitors. He's brought his dog with him - the Captain is delighted.
2) I've been struggling with my grip at weight lifting a bit. I've pretty firmly establish 100 kgs as my standard weight and I've been doing 4 or 5 sets of 6 reps at that weight. I find that my grip gives out before the actual weight lifting muscles.
3) We had work related drinks this week which I think is a first and part of my colleague C's long term economic plan to make work a more fun and socially engaging place to be. My role in this is to sign the cheques and be an enthusiastic part of the board games club.
4) I'm Front of House manager for the drama group's production of MacBeth. This is the worst job as you have to arrive early and hang around late and you don't get to see the actual show. Hey ho, someone has to do it.
5) This weekend is the last weekend ot the P3 rugby season. I've enjoyed it but I'm looking foward to a break.
As a bonus Babel Fish got mentioned in a work presentation today, of all days.
