On Street Art and The Captain
Feb. 20th, 2013 10:08 amOn the way to nursery this morning there is some grafitti on the pavement.
Someone has drawn a hopscotch board, the word “disgraceful” and a short phrase about vandalism the precise wording of which escapes me. All the same person at the same time.
The Captain is very interested in this. “Drawing on the ground is a bad thing to do.”
Well, it is, usually, I think. Although I might make an exception for art about the concept of grafitti.
But when we got to nursery the courtyard was full of the names of his nursery mates written in chalk on the floor.
So, we’re into issues of ownership and permanent defacement and maturity.
