Thank you.

Lifting stuff over your head is definately much, much harder. I like a good squat.

I can just, just manage about 40 kgs in an overhead press, which is about 1/3rd of my maximum deadlift. On a good day I can do 5-6 sets of 8-10 reps at 60-80 kgs and then kick on to lift 140 (once!) but after 1 or 2 sets of overhead presses I'm begining to feel tuckered out. Perhaps this is because I do the overhead presses after the deadlifting. Perhaps it is because I am a little anxious about dropping things on my head. Mostly I think shoulders are just not good for lifting heavy things.

I've only done a few squats with significant weight on a bar. I quite like it though. Mostly I've done goblet squats with a kettle bell. I've done clean and jerks once or twice. That just seems like madness, throwing heavy things at my own face.

I am pleased to be doing more rounded weight lifting over recent months.

In the New Year I'll shift focus to some cardio ahead of a 5k run over obstacles, which I'm doing with the Captain. Also ahead of trying to shift some weight from my own body.
