Having a delivery insurance option (at a relatively cheap price) would encourage me to back the project.
What the pricing should be I've no idea? Although that's probably easily calculable using traditional insurance methods.
I think the potential problem with the checklist approach is that it might allow gamification - if you know that five factors will be measure for insurance purposes then you might be tempted to polish those but perhaps they are not polishable.
