And I have no problem with it being a bit of a popularlity contest. I hope that people are voting with an eye on the technical performance or the artistic interpretation but, if they really, really don't like Jamelia then so be it.
But I'd be unhappy if I thought that the judges scoring was designed to keep someone in the competition long enough for them to improve their name recognition ahead of them starting a new programme for the BBC.
