The Fastest Cake

I have started baking scones.

This is partly an experiment to see if I can take up a hobby without having to become the best at it in the world or the local leader of people who do this.

Mainly, it is because I find I really like fresh scones.

Corrected for accuracy there. Although it is acceptable to eat them not fresh out of oven if you're on the beach or similar not-at-home location.

I like them with cream and jam (in that order) too.

But warm with slightly salty butter is also nice.

We took them round to my dad's for high tea.
