On Living In New Salmond.

I am not sure I want to live in the country Alex Salmond is creating whilst he is busy trying to create the country I do want to live in.

Anything in particular?

The centralising, somewhat autocratic, cozying up to egomaniac mock-billionaires tendencies.

I’m not sure how that is compatible with a Scandinavian style social democracy.

Seems reasonable.

Have we not recently been quite good at upsetting Donald Trump by choosing wind power over golf courses?

Personally, I think I don’t think we could irritate Trump enough. It’s almost a mark of how civilised you are as a country, how often you irritate Trump.

But yes, we have interfered with his golf course but the guy who lives next to him still keeps having his water cut off.

As an aside, I once went to New Caledonia. There was an attempted revolution whilst I was there. The French troops on the Jumbo Jet should have been a giveaway.

The revolutionaries were following us around, blowing up the hotels we had stayed in after we left them.
It is one of the four places in the world I have had guns pointed at me.

That’s a lot of guns.
