On Snow
There is lots of snow in Edinburgh. I don't think we've had as much snow since 2010. There's about half a foot of snow. More where it's been drifting. It's still snowing intermittently, with more forecast over the next few days.
I've only been mildly affected.
Heavy snow overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday. An Amber Weather Warning turning to Red.
I had to help push a car up a hill on the way to work.
I managed to leave work yesterday during a gap in the increasingly heavy snow showers and catch a bus home before the buses stopped running. By the time I was on the bus Lothian buses were already suspending services where there were hills. This is why I live in the city.
Schools are now closed, buses are not running.
MLW has some client calls this afternoon. So rather than slog in to the office on foot and then have to leave at lunchtime I'm working from home today so we can double team the Captain's TV watching and playdates.
Schools are closed tomorrow. The Yellow Weather Warning has been extended to Monday.
Edinburgh seems very hushed by the snow.
