I think he does add value to his partners. You'd want Giovanni if you were a lady. I'm not sure he has the same transformative ability as Katya demonstrated with Ed Balls or Oti with Bill Bailey in a different way but, yeah, if I were dancing with a male pro my short list would feature Giovanni first.
