It's a tricky one for them because they (Ukraine) definately need as many fighters as they can get but involving the Azov Battalion clearly gives them (the Azov Battalion) some additional status and potentially a seat at the table when things get discussed after the war.

And if they are committed fascists rather than just alt-right-curious then you don't really want to coop them in to the Ukrainian army.

I wonder if they can be encouraged to retire to some nice farm somewhere and be interviewed by Louis Theroux.
