I used to work for a Lewisham MP who was very active in the Kick Racism Out of Football campaign. Milwall were in her constituency. Lots of interactions with them.

I've always seen MLS as a retirement league. Get an extra year or two playing but crucially get an extra year or two of sponsorhips, endorsements and generally being a paid celebrity. It's interesting that that might not work in terms of the playing style and schedule.
