Having seen Ed's Charlston I wonder if he might be this year's John Sergeant.
I had certainly never heard of Melvin Odoom. I doubt he has heard of me. He does not work in areas of popular culture where our paths are likely to cross. I often have a bit of a blank when I'm trying to bench mark people like him that I've never heard of or experienced any of allied work. I've never knowingly listened to Kiss FM or watched MTV this century. So I don't know who does and how popular and important these things are or how likely there is to be a cross over. So he's a bit of blank to me. Danny Mac too. But, I fear you might be right about him being poorly supported because he's black and otherwise not well known.
You have a point about Greg. He struggled a bit last two weeks. My general rule of thumb is that Olypmic level athletes are good at controlling their body and good at training and determined to succeed. Unless they are Victoria Pendleton. Greg is also the Captain's favourite. He feels very strongly that Gingers who Jump should stick together.
Not sure how Len would go about "fixing" the scoring. I think Greg tends to knock a mark off if he thinks the rest of the panel have a crush on a celebrity. Daisy averages 16 from Len, Darcy and Bruno and 14 from Craig. But I agree with your point that, if the public think she's getting an easy ride they might well take against her.
