I'm doing my (admittedly shakey) arithmetic based on the 85% turn out for the referendum, and thinking about how many of those additional voters will turn out for a GE, and which of them are more likely to turn out.
I need some figures on it, but I know that most of the recruitment of new voters was done by the Yes parties.
As to the activists and the councillors? Well I'm an activist, and I won't be turning out for the party that wanted to pursue those who'd returned to the electoral roll for Poll Tax arrears from 25 years ago. And if the councillors who supported that show their faces in certain parts of Glasgow, they might end up with egg on their faces...
